As part of our wider electricity capactity market advice to the Irish Regulators, we developed a methodology to estimate the contribution of interconnectors to security of supply in the interconnected systems – leading to interconnector de-rating factors.
We were engaged by the Energy regulators for the island of Ireland to assess the deliverability and design of a the I-SEM – a revised set of wholesale electricity trading arrangements aligned with the EU third package of energy legislation.
We were engaged by the UK Department of Energy and Climate Change to assess potential intervention options to improve liquidity in the UK power market.
We worked with Ofgem to provide assurance of the data provided by DNOs on the measured level of losses on their networks and, where possible, reconciling this with data that is generally available on losses by network.
We advised DECC on the contract for large-scale low carbon generation, including presenting to the DECC CfD Expert Group.
In June 2013, We presented at the “Stress Testing and Risk Capital Allocation for the Energy Industry” Conference in Amsterdam.
